Reactive Rhythm — The Complete Player & Creator Guide
Reactive Rhythm is the rhythm game built on top of the ReactivVibeAI catalog. Every approved track on the platform — every song hosts play live, every video on AIflix with a usable audio rendition — is a potential level. This guide walks you through playing it during a live show, commissioning a custom level on your own song, the economy behind the store, and what's coming next.
Part 1 — Live shows
Playing Reactive Rhythm during a live stream
The single biggest moment in the game is when a host launches the song you're currently hearing on the show — straight into a playable level.
Inside the host/admin Now Live panel, every track in the review queue has a "Play in Reactive Rhythm"button. Clicking it does three things in the background, all in under two seconds:
Resolve a playable audio source
~1sThe server walks a resolution chain to find a clean rendition: the current submission's Mux audio, the matching radio_tracksrow, then the artist's most recent playable version of the same song (so resubmissions work too). If nothing is ready yet, the UI enters a "still processing" retry loop instead of failing.
Mint a signed review token
instantA short-lived (2 hour) HMAC-signed JWT is generated that grants access to the resolved audio — no public download links, no leaked Mux IDs. The token follows the host into the new tab.
Open the game with the song pre-loaded
instantA new tab opens to /game with the token attached. The game resolves the token, charts the song in real time, and the host (or any viewer with a link the host shares) can jump in immediately.
For artists
Hosts using Reactive Rhythm during your review is one of the highest engagement moments on the platform. Every game completion also counts as a real radio play on your song — so a live show that ends in a Reactive Rhythm session boosts both your discovery ranking and your profile analytics.
Part 2 — Custom levels
Commissioning a Reactive Rhythm level on your own song
$59.95, one time, no subscription. Your song becomes a permanent playable level in the store with your art, your branding, and 90% of every future purchase flowing back to you.

Open the Game tab in the top nav, scroll to Build-A-Level, and follow the form. You'll be asked for:
- The song you want charted (Mux ID, AIflix asset, or direct upload)
- Difficulty target — Casual, Standard, Hard, or Reactive (our extreme tier)
- Cover art (or we'll auto-generate from your AIflix cover)
- An optional theme prompt for the chart — e.g. 'lean on the drops', 'celebrate the bass solo'
- Price$59.95 one-time
- TurnaroundUsually 48–72 hours
- Revenue share on future plays90% to the artist, 10% platform
- Storefront placementPermanent listing in the in-game store
- Refund windowFull refund if we don't ship a chart you approve
Once you approve the chart, it's pushed to the live store with a unique item_id. Other players spend Sparks (the platform's earned-and-bought currency) to unlock it, and 90% of every unlock flows straight to your payout balance — same plumbing the merch store uses.
Why $59.95 makes sense
Charting a song by hand is real labor — typically 2–4 hours of work for a clean chart with proper difficulty pacing. $59.95 covers that work once, and every subsequent unlock is pure revenue back to you. A custom level that sells 70 unlocks at 299⚡ pays for itself many times over.
Part 3 — Gameplay
How the game actually plays
Coverflow → mic drop → notes. The whole loop is designed to take 90 seconds end to end so you can play between sets, during a live show, or in a multiplayer round.

Pick a track from the coverflow
~10sThe home screen is a horizontal coverflow of every chartable track on the platform. Thumbnails are lightweight WebPs (≈30KB each) so scrolling stays instant even on mobile data.
Choose a difficulty + a skin
~5sEvery chart ships with four difficulty lanes. Skins (the instrument art that flies down the lane) are cosmetic — purchased once with Sparks, owned forever.
Play the song
song lengthNotes are server-validated. The score you see on screen is the same score the server re-judges before posting to the leaderboard — modded clients can't top the boards.
Earn Sparks + a real radio play for the artist
instantCompleting a song writes a radio_play record for the artist (credit where credit's due) and credits you with Sparks based on accuracy + difficulty. Top three on the daily board get a bonus.
Part 4 — The economy
Sparks, Bonus Sparks, and the store
Two wallets, one rule: regular Sparks buy anything; Bonus Sparks only exist for wagered multiplayer rounds. They never mix.
- Sparks (⚡)Earned from plays/streaks + purchasable. Spend on skins, levels, boosts.
- Bonus Sparks (★⚡)Won in multiplayer wagers. Wager-only — cannot be spent in the store.
- Skins60–399⚡ depending on rarity
- Custom levels (other artists')199–499⚡ depending on creator pricing
- Cash-out floor500⚡ (artists/creators only)
The strict separation
We get this question a lot: "I bought a skin and I think it used my Bonus Sparks." It can't — the ledgers are physically separated in the database. Bonus Sparks only ever move during a wagered multiplayer settle. If your regular Sparks balance dropped, that's the wallet that paid.
Top up Sparks anytime.
