Keep The Lights Burning — ÍVAR / ᛁᚢᚾᚱ

Artist's note

“Keep the Lights Burning” is a dark, atmospheric trip-hop track inspired by the Icelandic maritime tradition of keeping beacons burning for those lost at sea. Built around haunting vocals, cinematic textures, and a brooding electronic soundscape, the song follows a vessel battling darkness and violent weather, searching for a distant light that might guide its crew home. The blue glow of the radar, the relentless sea, and the uncertainty of what lies ahead create a story about survival, isolation, and determination. Rooted in Icelandic seafaring heritage but told through modern electronic music, it is ultimately about one simple thing: keeping the light alive when everything around you goes dark.
