Artist's note

“Dead to Me” is a raw alt-metal gut punch about loyalty being shattered while deployed. The narrator comes home injured and discovers the betrayal was fueled by drinking, then draws a hard line: don’t minimize it as “just one mistake.” The song circles around two wounds that cut deepest, her keeping his last name like a trophy and the demand for the rings back met with cold defiance. Verses carry bitterness and dark humor, the hook turns it into a boundary, and the breakdown is the final, no-reconciliation verdict. It’s anger, grief, and self-respect colliding, then walking away for good.
